Department of Arabic, government Brennen College organized a one day international Webinar on 29/5/2020 Friday 2.30 PM. The program was the part webinar series by the IQAC Brennen to commemorate the great services of retiring principal, Dr. MK Muralidharan Nair, Vice Principal Prof. Fulgunan and Head of the department of Maths Dr.Easwaran Nambuthiri. DR.MARYAM SHINASI, the renowned writer and chief executive of Sharjah Dhar al Jasmine, UAE was the resource person.
MECHANISMS FOR DEVELOPING ARABIC LANGUAGE LEARNING FOR NON-NATIVE SPEAKERS "KERALA AS A MODEL” was the topic of the seminar. The resource person, having first-hand experience about the system Arabic education in colleges and universities of Kerala, explained the pros and cons of our system, syllabus and attitude of the Arabic students in Kerala.
Head of the department of Arabic, Dr. T Muhammed Sirajuddeen welcomed the gathering comprised of eminent personalities from Yemen, Indonesia, UAE, KSA etc. in addition to the professors and research scholars from different universities of India. Dr. AI Rahmathullah, retired HoD, Calicut University Arabic department, inaugurated the discussion. Many participants from out side Kerala prized the standard of Arabic teaching in Kerala.
