1.International Seminar on Literature and Cultural Geography : Places, People, Lives

The Two-Day International Seminar, "Literature and Cultural Geography : Places, People, Lives", organized by the Dept. of Malayalam, Govt. Brennen College, was a novel attempt to explore recent trends in the reaches on the reciprocal interaction between literature and culture. The Seminar was inaugurated by Dr. T T Sreekumar, Professor and Head, Dept. of Communication, The English and Foreign Languages University, Hyderabad. 

Dr. Ophira Gamiel, Lecturer in South Asean Religions, Theology and Religious Studies, University of Glasgow and scholars like Dr. Ajay Sekhar, Dr. Aju K Narayan, Dr. OK Johney etc presented papers. The final session provided a unique opportunity for the participants to interact with leading writers in Malayalam - N Prabhakaran, Manoj Kurur, Vinoy Thomas and Asokan.
